OTTAWA – J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) has again earned Platinum Club status in Canada’s Best Managed Companies, a distinction for organizations with sustained excellence and long-term performance. After seven consecutive years of designation, Platinum Club status reflects consistency across leadership, strategy, culture, and innovation.
In 2025, JLR expanded its physical presence with the opening of a new office in London, Ontario, enhancing regional capacity in southwestern Ontario. The 20th anniversary of its North Bay office recognized two decades of community-rooted service and sustained growth in the northeast. In 2026, JLR will mark another milestone with the 25th anniversary of its Timmins office, underscoring its long-standing presence in northern Ontario. Together, these achievements reflect JLR’s continued commitment to regional responsiveness and strong client relationships.
Internally, JLR continued to invest in its people and culture. Employee Resource Groups were formally established, creating new spaces for connection, engagement, and shared learning across the organization. In January 2025, JLR launched its Innovation team, dedicated to advancing the firm’s technical capabilities and delivery tools to ensure high-quality, efficient, and forward-thinking solutions for clients.
We also introduced the University of Waterloo – J.L. Richards Reconciliation and Design Excellence Award, reflecting the firm’s ongoing commitment to education, inclusion, and the future of the professions it serves.

Platinum Club status is awarded to companies that have maintained the Best Managed designation for seven years or more and have demonstrated ongoing excellence through a rigorous, independent evaluation process.
