JLR was retained by the City of Guelph (City) to perform the 2020 biennial Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM) structure condition assessments on 72 City structures (36 bridges, 36 culverts). The scope of work for this project was to review and report on the condition of the structures as per the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario’s (MTO) OSIM. Prior to on-site inspections, a desktop study was performed for each structure. This included reviewing all existing drawings and any available documentation on past rehabilitation work that was completed. A series of technical memos were prepared to assist the City in maintenance and capital planning, including forecasting and lifecycle analysis.
