OTTAWA – J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) is excited to announce the appointment of Robert Langlois, P.Eng., PMP and FEC as the new Director of Project Risk.
“I’ve spent many years delivering projects, managing teams, and working with the risks inherent to the business of consulting engineering.” Says Robert, I’m excited to have this opportunity to apply some of the lessons I’ve learned across the different markets and disciplines in which JLR is active.”
Robert Langlois brings more than 24 years of civil engineering and project management experience to his new role as Director of Project Risk. Previously Manager of Civil, Environmental, and Planning in our Sudbury Office, he has led multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure and land development projects across public and private sectors.
His expertise spans municipal systems, stormwater management, and large-scale construction administration. With deep knowledge of JLR’s operations and risk governance frameworks, Robert’s strategic mindset and collaborative leadership will strengthen our teams and drive success.
“This role was created to enhance JLR’s project risk governance proactively through tools and monitoring,” says Jim Steele, P.Eng., Vice President of Project Delivery & Risk. “Rob’s engineering expertise, business insight, and mastery of risk frameworks position him to excel.”
The Delivery and Risk team plays a vital role in ensuring project success and safeguarding the firm against operational and financial risks through governance, technical expertise, and proactive communication.
