As an Executive Director and Environmental Infrastructure Market Chief at JLR, Brian Hein, P.Eng. leads the water and wastewater treatment and solid waste management practices. He is responsible for developing and maintaining JLR’s services within these fields, including maintaining appropriate staffing levels, preparing technical and financial proposals, providing project delivery, and ensuring clients’ needs are fully met.
Brian has extensive experience as a multidisciplinary team manager and has led numerous complex water and wastewater facility projects from concept to completion. These projects have involved all major engineering disciplines, as well as architecture and land use planning. His project experience also includes new and upgraded municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants and facilities, pumping stations and forcemains, water tower rehabilitation, environmental assessments, preparation of operations manuals, energy audits, treatability studies, and various other engineering reports and studies.
A graduate of the University of Waterloo (B.A.Sc. Civil Engineering), Brian is a Designated Consulting Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario, and a member of several organizations including the Water Environment Association of Ontario, Ontario Water Works Association, and Ontario Waste Management Association.
