Client: Battle North Gold Corporation (formerly Rubicon Minerals Corporation)
Location: Red Lake, Ontario
Size: 1,250 tonnes per day

JLR was retained by Battle North Gold Corporation (formerly Rubicon Minerals Corporation) as Lead Consultant to coordinate design efforts among four other consultants and provide detailed design for the structural components of their 1,250 tonnes per day (TPD) throughput concentrator facility (mill). JLR’s scope also included the design of the raw ore bin and the conveyors that transfer the ore from the headframe to the mill.

The project involved the design of foundations to support a new, preengineered building as well as all structural elements within the mill. This included the foundations for the semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mill, ball mills, cyclones, thickener, carbon-in-leach (CIL) tanks, and cyanide destruction tank.

JLR worked with a subconsultant to execute the detailed design of the process components of the project. In addition, JLR coordinated the efforts of the electrical and geotechnical engineering consultants within our multidisciplinary engineering team.
