JLR was retained by Canada Lands Company to provide technical design input and transportation impact analysis for Phases 3 and 5 of Wateridge Village. Wateridge Village is located on the lands formally known as CFB Rockcliffe in Ottawa. The planned community phases will consist of approximately 745 low- to mid-rise resident units, 1,081 high-rise residential units, mixed-use commercial/retail, and approximately 2.5 ha of public park space. Quiet, pedestrian friendly, tree-lined streetscapes give way to everyday conveniences and welcoming neighbourhood hubs.
The main access/egress points for this development will be to Montreal Road and the Aviation Parkway, which are major arterial roadways. The study area for network capacity analysis included a total of eight intersections that consisted of a mixture of signalized and unsignalized traffic control.
