JLR was retained to provide technical design and transportation impact analysis for this proposed development located in Ottawa’s east end (the Navan/Orleans area). The development will include approximately 333 townhomes/low-rise apartments, a gas station/convenience store with drive-thru car wash, and fastfood restaurant with a drive-thru, and approximately 20,000 ft2 of commercial/retail space. The main access/egress points for this development will be to Navan Road and Brian Coburn Boulevard and the study area for network capacity analysis included a total of seven intersections that consisted of a mixture of signalized, unsignalized, and roundabout traffic control.
